Oberlin Ohio 26th Sept 1868

Dear Br. Whipple.

I see you are pressed for

funds. Br. Markham has

taken his collection for your

Society & has left I believe.

I am pledged to give $10. for the

support of a lady teacher of

the freedmen, but I must help

up

& put in my mite to make ^ your

deficiency. Please find enclosed.

a check for $20.
